She Told The Truth

She Told The Truth by Veronica Hay

She told the truth
Everyone in the room recognized each other

She told the truth
Everyone in the room came out of hiding

She told the truth
Everyone in the room cried

She told the truth
Everyone in the room had been thinking the same thing

She told the truth
Everyone in the room could finally breathe

She told the truth
Everyone in the room was released of the prison in their own heart

She told the truth
Everyone in the room was set free

She told the truth
Everyone in the room took back their soul

She told the truth
Everyone in the room laughed as if for the very first time, a real laugh, that they had never recognized before

The room disappeared
The pain dissolved
The chains were broken
The people connected

And LIFE began again …

Not perfect, but honest and free with hope and wonder

Have a blessed and very truthful day.

Love and blessings, Veronica

A Smile In Your Heart Something happened this morning that made my heart smile. It was a splendid way to start the day.

A smile in your heart is vastly different from a smile on your face. It is deeper, more profound, and touches both the giver and the receiver in ways you may not have noticed before.

A smile in your heart makes your body quiver with delight. It whispers to your cells and encourages them to move towards the perfection they are always aspiring to be – when we are not interfering with our own natural healing – by telling them things that are just not true.

A smile in your heart lightens your burdens, restores your soul and quiets the endless chatter. It awakens memories of truth lying dormant inside. And it gently tickles you in all the right places, sometimes causing spontaneous laughter and mirth.

So, my dear friends, what kind word or charming deed could you say or do today that would bring a smile to someone else’s heart as well as your own?

Take care, have a beautiful day and KEEP SMILING.

Top O’ the Morning To You Happy St. Patricks Day

Today is St. Patrick’s Day!  This day always brings so many happy memories to mind of growing up with an Irish mother. My mom lived in Ireland until she was 13 years old and her mother died making her an official orphan, having lost her father when she was just born. Shortly thereafter she moved to London, England. However, her love for Ireland was always with her and she instilled that love in me in the most profound ways.

In our family leprechauns were considered normal and I grew up believing that there really was a pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow. At the age of 6 I knew the words to every Irish song ever written. But the best part of St. Patrick’s day for me was going to a Canadian school with “real live shamrocks” pinned to my tunic that my mother’s childhood friend in Ireland sent us every year. I was so proud of them and of being “Irish”.

So, I offer you this Irish Blessing In loving memory of my Mother, Molly McCabe whom I am sure is dancing the Irish jig today wherever she is!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Take care and have a lovely St. Patrick’s Day!

Its Valentines Day Remember The LoveIt’s Valentine’s Day – Remember the Love

For a very long time, my favourite day of the year was always Valentine’s Day. It didn’t matter if I was alone on that day or not, I still adored it. Valentine’s day for me is a celebration of love, love in its many forms: romantic love between a man and a woman, the never-ending love of family and dear friends, the enduring love between a parent and child, the abiding love between a human and their beloved pet, love of self and love shared with communities or the world.

In our society we seem to need an excuse to tell people how we feel about them, or show them with tokens of our affection. At Christmas, we exchange gifts and take time away from our busy schedules to be with the people who really matter in our lives. On Valentine’s day we are presented with yet another opportunity to open our hearts and share our souls. The marketplace makes it very easy for us to do that, presenting us with a cornucopia of delicacies and finery, from chocolates, to strawberries and whipped cream, to diamonds, singing teddy bear deliveries, and an abundance of greeting cards with just the right sentiment.

It matters not how you choose to serenade the ones you love on this auspicious occasion, what matters is that you do! Whether it be with a store bought treasure or a simple handmade delight, the form is not important, but the sentiment is! Valentine’s day gives you another opportunity to do something that comes naturally for you, as natural as breathing, and that is to BE love and to GIVE love. It is who you are and it is the only thing that really matters in the end.

And so I wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day.

May LOVE touch your precious heart today in unexpected ways and JOY bless your beautiful soul!

Take care and have a magical day.

Love and blessings, Veronica (

A Tailor Made Christmas Just For You by Veronica Hay

Well, here we are, only seven days before Christmas. And as usual, I just wanted to wish all of you here on this blog,  a very happy one. However, let me add a few suggestions to that.

This year, do not be concerned if your Christmas does not turn out the way it is portrayed on television or the media. Do not be concerned that you haven’t got things all lined up the way you think they should be. In fact, do not be concerned at all! Instead try not putting any expectations on the day, except to let it find you wherever that may be. Be open to the messages and gifts that it may want to give you, even though those gifts may not be stacked under a tree, but carefully placed into an open heart and whispered into a ready mind. This year, perhaps for the first time in your life, try to feel totally FREE, no requirements, no expectations, no obligations, just the day and you with whoever and wherever that may take you.

And so, I wish that your Christmas be tailor made for you, in whatever way it shows up, and that you have the eyes to see without judgement, the ears to hear its messages, and the heart to know its true meaning, perhaps for the very first time.

Merry Christmas.

Dont Give Up On Your Miracle!A friend was telling me about a serious medical condition that they were experiencing some time ago which went on for several months. It was truly an awful situation to go through and had inflicted them with much pain and anxiety.  The medical doctors were not able to help her except to make things worse. My heart went out to her just listening to her story and knowing that she had experienced so much anguish deeply saddened me. But then out of the blue, she simply said “And then one morning I woke up and the condition was gone, it had totally disappeared and has never returned since and I know in my heart that it never will”.(And it never has.)

I was overwhelmed with JOY when I heard her say that and filled with wonder once again at the possibility of a “miracle” happening at any moment, in spite of the circumstances one may find oneself in.

It was a matter of “grace”, a true gift and a reminder for me and I hope for you, reading this here, that anything is possible and to never give up believing that things can and often do change for the better in an instant.

I just wanted to share this story with you all here this morning. So, no matter what you may be going through in your own life, emotional turmoil or a physical disorder, know somewhere deep in your heart that there is hope, there is love, there is Joy and it is waiting for you. Never give up believing in the possibility of having your very own miracle. And never give up encouraging others to do the same.

Compassion – A Life Changer
Copyright © by Veronica Hay
 Compassion A Life Changer

I have been thinking a lot lately about the word “compassion” and how there does not seem to be a lot of it around these days. Judgement is much more prevalent. I think because sometimes when we judge another, it makes us feel temporarily better, like we are smarter or more superior in some way. But judgement never soothes the wounded heart or opens the tender soul the way compassion does. It closes them down, affects our health and the quality of our life. Perhaps many other well intentioned people feel that by being compassionate to others they are allowing or even encouraging them to show weakness, and not be strong enough to rise above life’s challenges. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I am not talking about sympathy or pity as these certainly do not empower anyone. Most people don’t want or need pity, but they certainly do require “love”. We all require love. As I have said many times before, it is quite frankly all that matters in the end. What I am talking about here is the simple joy of human kindness and caring. I am talking about sensitivity, warmth, tenderness, and big heartedness.

And so, I implore you to ask yourself where and with whom you could be more “compassionate today? Where could you reach out, surprise someone who is going through a very difficult time and let them know, that while you may never be able to truly understand or even relate to what they may be going through, your heart goes out to their suffering and turmoil? Please resist the need to fix them or offer any advice that they have not asked you for. Just ensure them that you are holding them in deep compassion, bright light and tender love. And that you are seeing them emerging victorious, however that may look like for them. Remember that sometimes a kind word to someone on their journey can and may even save a life. So, please don’t hold back.

And the person to start with today with this process is YOURSELF! Offer true kindness and compassion to yourself for all you have gone through to get you to where you are now, in this moment, no matter what that may have been.

And so, I would like to take this opportunity to send my deep love and heartfelt compassion out to every single soul who visits this blog. Your strength and courage has served to uplift all of us and moved us forward. I acknowledge each and every one of you individually for coming this far. I treasure your presence here and I salute you. I wish you Godspeed on your journey, my dear and precious friends.

I felt compelled to write my own tribute to actor Robin Williams.
I am sharing it
here below.

Take care and have a peaceful day.

Love and blessings, Veronica

A Tribute to Robin Williams  1951 – 2014
Copyright © by Veronica Hay August 13, 2014 – All Rights Reserved.

Robin, I am currently working on a “How To Manual” for those delicate souls arriving on the earth plane. It is something I have felt we have always needed and it gives step by step instructions on how to really live each day with passion, fire and exuberance. Your face is plastered on every single page, your voice heard in every word, your brilliance demonstrated at every turn, all making it the next best seller.

During your time here on earth, you were totally and utterly yourself, the most authentic and real piece of work I have ever encountered. You thought outside the box. Hell, you threw away the box! You gave new meaning to the words passion, spirit, vulnerability. You didn’t care what any of us thought of you and if you did at any point you never let it stop you. Life was too important for that. Life was too big for that, too grand for that.  The world could not contain you, nor did it want to. It applauded your every move and spurred you on as every cell and atom in your amazing and magnificent body danced and rocked in everything  you did.

You were multi-talented and multi-faceted, like a sparkling diamond left to heat up in the sun; warm, generous beyond measure, compassionate and humane to those less fortunate, infinitely kind, loving, giving and big hearted.

You saw things in people and places and life that most of us were blind to. Much of it served to fuel the rocket ship inside you that blasted off every chance it got to places most of us only dreamed of venturing into. Some of it scared you, even haunted you, but never deterred you for very long.

I think you shined the most, at least for me, on the silver screen and I remember a profound moment when you changed my life forever. It was in a dark movie theatre all those years ago in the middle of the film, “Dead Poet’s Society”  where I sat and listened to you speak words that I knew were meant for me and only me! You spoke them with a passion that made my jaw drop and touched my heart in ways I didn’t know were possible. I went back there every day for a week and sat and waited for you to say those words to me again, and again, those words that sent me in a life changing direction forever. And even though you didn’t write those words yourself, it was the way you said them to me, just to me, that ripped me open and exposed my soul.

You were an extraordinary piece of work, a phenomena greater than the Grand Canyon or the Eiffel tower and just as recognizable. You didn’t give a damn what people thought of you and when you were performing it was only you and only me and only the hungry masses who waited with bated breath for what ridiculously funny or incredibly silly or terribly morose thing you were about to do. Most of the time I think you had no idea yourself and just gave your body, mind and spirit over to something greater that wanted to come through, that wanted to be born, that wanted to celebrate all that life had to offer.

It was as if the pixies and the fairies and the aliens of which you introduced us and seduced us and stole our hearts with and all kinds of strange and eccentric beings were given birth through you. You set them free, you set yourself free and the world applauded you and laid itself at your feet in gratitude. Nature understood you, the sky welcomed you home, the wind blew at your command, the sun got up early to shine its glorious face upon you for the miracles you created for all of us here.

You were not perfect, far from it! But who of us ever is? You were totally and utterly human and vulnerable in every way. You felt great pain and experienced deep sadness, but isn’t that part of the journey that we all sign up for? Who of us has not called out in anguish, cried tears from a broken heart or felt remorse, confusion, despair, grief and melancholy? Who of us has not wished we ever made the choice to be here? Who of us has not had at least a moment or two, when life became so overwhelming that giving up seemed like the only option? Who of us has not been seduced even in some small way by the myriad of physical offerings on this planet to help stop the pain, at least for the moment and gave into that?

Yet, even in your darkest hour, in your choice to end it all, though a sad and tragic one, you made a difference for so many suffering souls who have been hiding their pain from the world. Now perhaps they will be able to talk about it, to let go of the shame surrounding it and open up to the truth inside them. I believe your death has greater significance here, perhaps more than even your life, in giving so many, finally a voice, a chance to be heard and perhaps understood for the very first time, with compassion and love. Even in your death, your genius shines through and is allowing the healing to begin for so many.

I for one am proud to have been on the same planet at the same time you were. I am honoured to have walked on the same soil that you did, and breathed the same intoxicating air. I am in awe of what you have taught all of us. You made it all worthwhile for me and for so many of us.

And when you passed over all of heaven rejoiced to have you home again, a job very well done, a life very well lived, a mission courageously accomplished, a legacy filled with grace and love. You will never be forgotten and the laughter, joy and magic you gave us all will continue to sustain us in ways and places not yet even imagined.

For all of this and for all that you are and will continue to be now and in eternity, I salute you and I thank you.
