Day 6 – August Abundance Abounds

Good Thursday Morning Everyone on this, the Sixth Day of August, 2009

Here is today’s quotation for the
August – Abundance Abounds – Daily Project.

Detachment
I think the easy parts about manifesting / creating those things that we want in our lives is the desire and the imagining. Those are the fun parts. For me the hard part is detachment.

Often we get attached to how it is going to come to us, or when, or where. And of course, this stops the flow. We get in our own way.

The secret is in the allowing and with the allowing comes the “letting go”.

I am reminded here of a brilliant poem written by Rev. Safire Rose entitled “She Let Go” and these words:”In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.”

Perhaps today, right now, is the time to finally just let go, and let it all be.

If you can imagine what it is that you truly desire from a deep feeling place, being grateful for all the blessings that are already in your life and detach yourself from the outcome, success is most assuredly yours.

*** Today, practice just letting go of something. it could be just a little thing, like having to be right, or something much bigger like worrying about the future. Just for today, in this moment right now, take a long deep breath and just let go.

See you tomorrow.

Take care and have an abundant day.

May there be a miracle in your life today… And may you have the eyes to see it…

How true it is that we can get in our own way … and your words about detachment offer a real antidote for that. I loved the words from ‘She Let it Go’ and the whole idea of a small smile coming over her face when she did. For me, that also perfectly captures living in the moment rather than letting the thought of future outcomes hold us back.

    Lovely post.
