When I first started my own business I rented an office in the corner of a small building close to downtown. I really loved working there because Judy, a very dear friend of mine and an amazingly gifted counselor, also rented an office opposite from me on the other side of the large sitting room.
The third office was occupied by the women who managed the space. Her office was located next to Judy’s at a right angle. It had two steps leading up to it off the sitting room but no door, just open space. I am giving you these details because they are important to the story, so please bear with me here.
One particular day as I walked out of my office, I noticed that Judy’s door was closed which meant that she was probably in session with a client.
On this particular day I remember walking out of the washroom, heading back to my office when I saw Anne, the manager, talking with someone by her desk. At that precise moment, I remembered something important that I had been wanting to tell her. I was having a hard time connecting with her because of our schedules and so I wanted to seize this opportunity. I immediately ran over to where she was standing.
